The symposium will take place at the Academic Conference Centre, Graduate School of Business. Physical address: 9 Portswood Road, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town. Enter from the Waterfront side close to the aquarium or Portswood Road. There will be a credit card machine at the registration desk for late entry. Daily rate available 800 R a day.
Free for students and postdoctoral fellows who are presenting their work and submitting abstracts before 10 of February thanks to sponsors from Norway (NERSC, IMR, UiB, NSS)
Load and try your talk before start of session. Identify yourself to the session convenor. 3 days of open scientific conference (Tue 10 to 12 Of March 2020. What is it all about ?
For the 10th anniversary of the Nansen Tutu Centre for Marine Environment Research, we are organizing a symposium. It will run in parallel with the Ocean Observation Physics and Climate meeting (WMO, GOOS and WCRP). Themes are regional oceanography, operational oceanography, role of the ocean on weather and climate, marine ecosystems, biogeochemistry,the CO2 cycle and Southern Ocean. We have several invited presentations on the first day then we move on to more focused sessions preceded by keynotes address. We will give center stage to African students and early career scientist. The conference is endorsed by CLIVAR.
